KuKo AG RaiRei uses in their works consciously and in strategic consideration both graffiti of the most diverse street artists and murals of the whole world, combines them with the academic "greats" of our time and lets these find themselves on the painted canvases partly also with real environments again and also completely new. KuKo AG RaiRei creates with from the museums of this world quite known something completely new by combination and partly also only fictitious collaborations of artists from the whole world and art history. The resulting individuality of the entire creative act as well as the artworks themselves is not in the foreground for KuKo AG RaiRei, but primarily the composition of any and wherever found aesthetic material. A special charm is thereby the quite intended, almost together dancing seeming interplay of both in the rank and in the partly even unknown name most different artists, of which one or the other also not (more) lives, so that also the collaboration/cooperation/co-production itself is fictitious. Every work conceived by KuKo AG RaiRei - also in the light of the principle coined by J. Beuys: "Every man is an artist" - is thus also to be understood as a homage to all art movements and to every artis...
In any case, there are no characteristics that can be used to determine when an object is art. According to Marcel Duchamp, even the selection of an object (presented as art) is an artistic act. Andy Warhol took up this idea in the 1960s with his Campbell's Soup Cans and the Brillo box. An object of daily use that mutated into a work of art without the slightest alteration.
What do we conclude from this? Art can be anything today!
Art is primarily a matter of our perception. Its meaning unfolds exclusively in our consciousness and in our imagination. The artistic aspect of art is therefore not in the work of art. It is primarily in us. Otherwise it could not be explained that we perceive one and the same object once as a work of art and another time as an ordinary everyday object. So it can have nothing to do with the object itself and must have everything to do with our consciousness, which can switch from everyday perception to another kind of perception. The object then only exhibits the artistic magic because, stimulated by the special ambience of the presentation, a kind of alienation sets in for us that changes our perception. Suddenly we see it with different, aesthetically sensitized eyes.
