Veronica Compton

I have loved art since I was old enough to pick up a crayon. I feel that anything I create has a little piece of my soul in it. Creating and sharing my art is my bliss.

My entire life was an education in art. Since I was a child, I would use anything that I could get my hands on to create artwork. I majored in art at Lockport Senior High School and then I earned an associates degree in Commercial Art at Bryant and Stratton Business Institute. While married and raising a family, I took local classes in drawing, watercolor painting, pottery, sculpture, cake decorating, stained glass window making, jewelry making, and acrylic painting. I have been a freelance artist for over 20 years, doing acrylics on canvas, charcoal and watercolor portraits and mixed media and abstract acrylics on canvas.

In 2000 a collection of my charcoal portraits was featured in the Buffalo Parade of Homes 2000.
In 2004 I had a watercolor painting featured at a show in the Market Street Art Center in Lockport, NY
In 2010 I showed a collection of my watercolors and acrylic art on canvas at Canalfest in Tonawanda Castle in Tonawanda, NY
In 2019 I had a solo exhibition of my artwork which consisted of 28 abstract acrylic and mixed media paintings on canvas. The show ran from November 29th of 2019 through January 31st of 2020.
