Elisabeth Wagner

I am a professional German painter. Since 1976 living and working in Düsseldorf, Germany.
My paintings are mainly abstract, some works tend to be more realistic. I love nature and the colors of nature which inspires my paintings - they are colorful, powerful and full of energy. I visualize flora and focus on impressive landscapes as mountains, glaciers and coast areas. I love “en plein air” painting, however, mainly work in my studio.

For many years I have worked in a federal ministry in Düsseldorf.

Following my passion for art I chose to study fine arts. I started at a private art academy in Düsseldorf with painting and sketching, followed by a two year education with Professor Markus Lüpertz, at an art academy near Munich. I enjoyed the time and could develop my skills and style. Both studies I finished with diploma.
Furthermore I attended in workshops with Rosa Loy (Neue Leipziger Schule).
