Mrs Toolip

Dutch, born in Auckland (New Zealand) in 1990 and brought up on the Coast of Costa Brava. Cross-cultural experiences are in my blood and lifestyle, and that's probably where my story starts. I have travelled across all the continents, became a mother of four, and fell in love with our beautiful planet. All my emotions and memories of these experiences are expressed on my canvases.

Nature makes me feel unstoppable in my creative world! My technique is very expressive combining acrylics with materials such as stones, sand, lacquer and many more to achieve an exciting variety of textures and colors. The result of this art experiment is a nature-like looking canvas that creates the landscape airview impression. Living and creating in urban Barcelona, I give some artworks an industrial touch.

The way of painting definitely marks the artist's identity. I see art as the way “to create something new with my hands to express myself”. Emotions, feelings and impressions, and special moments urge me to paint. In my works, I create many contrasts and unexpected accents to make people curious and interested. I have been experimenting for years with different materials, colors, and layers to improve my technique.
