Ramya Ratnayake

I am a digital pencil artist from New Zealand,born in 1970. I first learned to draw when I was little. I enjoy embroidery stitching, photography, and painting. I adore old Monet paintings. I enjoy creating my art in the digital realm.
I was raised in a small village In Kandy, Sri Lanka.I earned a higher education in computer science and graduated as a telecommunication engineer. Soon after graduating in 1995, I began working in the IT industry.
I stayed in Nairobi for 8 years after moving to Kenya in 2002 to work at a satellite earth station. I visited the Masai Mara when I was in Kenya to learn about the daily lives of the Masai people.
After the birth of my child, I later relocated to New Zealand. I really love to be closer to the nature, which is why I decided to live in New Zealand.My happiness is to see people around the world admiring beauty of people and nature through my artwork.

B.Sc degree in Electronics and Telecommunication and Postgraduate diploma in computer science.
