Zihao Zheng

Born in Dalian in 1992, Zheng Zihao is a graduate of the Oil Painting Department at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, having earned a bachelor's degree in 2015. He lived and worked in Rome, Italy from 2015 to 2017, where he also studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. He currently works and resides in Beijing.

The labels of "game", "virtual", and "network" that represent the era of the millennium can be seen in Zheng Zihao's works. He incorporates surrealistic elements with these virtual images, creating a virtual world that is most familiar to young people. The blurred blocks and sharp edges intensify the sense of rhythm in his works. Though the colors and shapes do not originate from nature, they enable the audience to feel the excitement born in the virtual world of the internet. The contrast in his works prompts the viewers to reflect, which demonstrates the artist's self-reflection and dialogue with the world.
