Roberto Marra is a visual artist, a published Poet and a Registered Psychotherapist. He was born and raised in Toronto and now resides in nearby Mississauga. He began producing art in 1986 while living and studying ceramic arts in Viterbo Italy. He furthered his art studies part-time in Canada upon his return four years later.
Over time, he has produced work that has varied in technique, medium and style. More recently, he has directed his efforts towards making contemporary, mixed media work that walks a line between painting and sculpture. Marra has exhibited his artwork in solo as well as collective exhibitions in Canada and Italy (ceramics). He is the author of the long concrete poem The Word (Lyricalmyrical Press 2014) and co-author of The Emu Dialogues (Quattro Books 2015).
Roberto Marra’s work is included in public as well as private collections and, in addition, is collaboratively included on or within numerous books of poetry alongside the words of the poets.
