Sandy Rice

Eccentric, idiosyncratic, obsessive, dreamer of dark visions. Influenced by the photographs by Brancusi of his own sculptures, by Sally Mann's 'Blackwater' series of photographs, by ambrotypes and daguerreotypes and other archaic forms of photography, by Michelangelo's 'Rondanini Pieta' in all its photographic representations.
