Daniel Nickles

My mother, a pianist, was an ardent Bach lover, and a lover of the arts. She was a great encouragement to me in pursuing my career.
At the Cleveland Institute of Art, Toshiko Takaezu, my ceramic teacher, was also of great influence on my design development and attitudes towards art and life. For her they were as one. A beautiful person. I kept in contact with her throughout the years until her death in 2011.
I love the nature world and it has always been an inspiration for me.
