Werner Fritz Zganiacz

(Born 23 August 1938 in Essen) is a German painter, draftsman, cartoonist and author.

Life

Werner Fritz Zganiacz received his first drawing lessons from the sculptor Helga Brugger in Bad Bevensen. Since his family found the occupation of a painter and draftsman unsuited, he first studied civil engineering. He then worked as a board member and project manager and headed major industrial and urban development projects. Fifteen years later, he completed his managerial activities and has since worked as a time-critical draftsman and painter. He founded the BLANKENESER VERLAG. Zganiacz lives in Hamburg-Blankenese and is a member of the Hamburg Golf Club Falkenstein and the Rotary Club Hamburg Altona.

Zganiacz draws watercolor and paints in oil, partly naturalistic, partly informal. He created about 1500 original pencil drawings, about 2000 cartoons and watercolors, circa 200 large-format oil paintings and about 100 monothypes, handigned, colored and numbered in a 100 edition.
From the Hotel Louis C. Jacob on the Elbchaussee, he was commissioned to draw a cheerful ancestral gallery of all owners who had been registered in the land register since 1625 and to create an art concept for the affiliated small Jacob wine industry. For the new member of the Jacob family CARLS he drew the history and the glory of the name Louis Carl Jacob III.Für the Gasthaus Schlachterbörse he created cartoons around the pig. On behalf of the Díll country house on the Elbchaussee, he drew shrill people with cigars. For the Italian restaurant Il Sole in Nienstedten caricatured Zganiacz personalities of the Renaissance. For the Laeisz shipping company, he created a year's calendar entitled "Smiling strokes through the seasons".
