Sarah Rowley

I’m Sarah Rowley, a mixed media artist based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire (UK). I was born and raised in the market town of Leek, in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and I grew up exploring the local landscape — from the river valleys to the dramatic peaks of The Roaches. That sense of place still shapes my work today.

My paintings are atmospheric landscapes and seascapes, created with layered mixed media processes that bring depth, texture and subtle detail. I’m drawn to the quiet moments in nature — shifting skies, coastal light, and earthy, calming palettes — and I aim to create pieces that make a space feel personal, grounded and like home.

After studying art at Leek College of Art and Staffordshire University, I kept creating around work and family life for years, always holding onto the goal of making art my full-time path. Five years ago, I finally made that leap, and I now paint full-time.

My work is available as original one-off pieces and fine art prints, suitable for both residential and corporate spaces. I also offer commissions, creating bespoke artwork to suit a theme, colour palette or interior mood.
