I worked full time as a Paramedic in Lincolnshire (UK) and part time as a Visual Artist.
I haven't received any formal training in art except for picking up a pencil at an early age, as we all do, and doodled on everything from the floor to the freshly painted living room wall.
I was always encouraged and guided by my art teacher at school, but it was when my friend and fellow Youth Theatre Member decided to up sticks and leave for Liverpool that I decided to draw him a picture as a parting gift and since then I've been taking art more seriously.
In 2007 I began working on a character "Mr Faceless". The idea behind Mr Faceless is to provide emotional, challenging or every day scenarios without showing the facial expression, I wanted to see if I could capture these feelings using just body language and/or location.
In 2008 I submitted two pieces of work to the open exhibition at the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in Scunthorpe (UK). Both pieces were accepted into the exhibition and one piece, Despair, was highly acclaimed coming fourth in over three hundred entries.
