Adam Wilson

Currently I'm an artist in my free time and I've been painting since I graduated university 20 years ago.

I'm inspired by surreal and abstract paintings and I love anything that's unusual.

I paint mostly what I feel like painting at the time or expanding on themes that I've previously explored like my op art paintings.
For me the enjoyment comes from having the freedom to create whatever I want as well as watching a piece of art I'm creating come to life and develop it's own appearance.
I always try and make sure I'm having just as fun now creating art as I did when I was a child, when I could forget about the outside world and be transported to somewhere without any rules or boundaries.

I graduated from Hull University in 2005 with an art degree, though technically my course was in Scarborough.
Unfortunately when the university came to my college to advertise their fine art degree they failed to mention that the degree would no longer be available at the Hull campus but sidelined to the smaller campus in Scarborough.
