Alex Haigh

Between 2016 and 2023, I spent seven years working up to 20 hours a day building my tech company, TYPE®, to compete with Canva. Between 2021 and 2023, I was invited to pitch for $5 million in funding three times but, unfortunately, didn’t succeed. In January 2023, I attempted to take my own life and fortunately, didn’t succeed in that either.

After 12 months of recovery, I decided to revive LightMagic® and bring it back to life. We had already spent three years developing the project, and I was still actively working on it just two and a half weeks into my stay in the psychiatric ward following my suicide attempt.

Artistic Process
I collaborated with a talented artist named Merlin, using slow-shutter photography, mirrored glass heads, and raw creativity to bring the project to life. Once each character had been photographed, I introduced the concept of theming the collection as a Cyberpunk Superhero series for adults and kids.

Inspirations and Goals
Rap music fuels my palette think the raw energy of UK grime and global hip-hop icons, mixed with the rebellious edge of streetwear and my love for humorous, provocative narratives. My influences span urban murals, fashion drops, and indie films, all aiming to capture fleeting cultura...
