Through a mix of modern and traditional techniques Dan looks to capture the essence of a vaguely familiar, yet distorted and strained reality. Visual references appear from a wide range of sources in an attempt to reconcile our physical surroundings with the private inner workings of the mind.

Amidst the sinister themes and expressive brush strokes, symbolism and modern culture are a running theme through the works.
