Anoo Sood (b. 1978, UK) is a visual artist whose eclectic work spans painting and ceramics. A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts (2001), Sood’s creative journey was profoundly shaped by her visits to the Musée Picasso in Paris. Here, she discovered a passion for thick, textured impasto techniques, blending fabric, resin, dust, and wood with incised, stitched canvases and raw, expressive marks.Sood's work is a vibrant dialogue between the tangible and the intangible. Influenced by Yves Klein's concept of "le Vide" (the void), she merges the tactile with the celestial, using gold and silver to both mask and reveal flaws. Her art reflects on the nature of body dysmorphia and the shifting perceptions of self, capturing the fluidity between appearance and reality.

Residing in London, Sood continues to explore these themes, creating pieces that challenge and transform our understanding of beauty and identity.
