Born 5/11/1951 A short career as a pop/commercial-artist in the early 1970's.36 years as a Postman(it was only meant to be a temporary). Now retired and painting full-time.After all this time,keeping my art almost as a hobby,I decided it was time to settle on a style of painting and devote my(spare)time working towards a body of work I could one day exhibit.So 5 years ago (2005) I set about producing my 50 canvas project.After retiring last year (2009) I was able to work full-time and finish it.
Dateline May 2011.......Working on "No.101"...the project continues.
Dateline October 1st. 2011.......stopped ( finished? ) No.115.......do I think obscure titles for paintings pretentious?

Someone once criticized my work as "all looking the same"....but isn't that the point?
When one finds a style or method of painting that one considers original,then one aims to perfect that style by continuing to churn out paintings that at first sight look similar, but evolve.
I have taken to treating each canvas as a continuation of the preceeding one (according to size) forming an unending frieze.
