SPECIALIZING IN MONOTYPE PRINTMAKING

Billowy clouds, peaceful farms with rolling hills, fields of colorful wildflowers and grasses, mountains shrouded in morning fog, fiery sunsets, and autumn’s bright orange and yellow leaves are just a few of the breathtaking scenes in Northeast Tennessee making this area, quite simply, an artist’s paradise—and April’s home.

April Jordan was born in Kingsport, Tennessee in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. She began creating art at an early age and was taught by her father, an extraordinarily talented artist, from early childhood. In high school, she attended advanced art classes where she learned to work in a variety of mediums from pen and ink to oil pastel to charcoal and watercolor. In her early twenties April moved to Southern California and attended California State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Although working as an accountant for many years, April continued practicing her art in her spare time. Many of her works during this time were done in acrylics.
