EDUCATION
Akeelah Bertram is a visual artist who creates dynamic environments which play on perception. Light and sound are used in her work to generate spectacular and memorable audio-visual experiences.
Soon to graduate from the Royal College of Art, London, Bertram has exhibited nationally and internationally including, Open House, London; MOLT!, Berlin; and Cuarto des Vista, Puebla.
Public commissions include Vase, Leeds City Art Gallery, Light Night Leeds 2013; and Chrous, Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery 2014. Prizes include FUAM Graduate Art Prize, the Vantage Art Prize and nomination for The Catlin Guide: New Artists in the UK 2014.
