Aleksandra ĐOrđEvić

I am a painter and conservator-restorer of paintings. In other words, I maintain the old art and try to make a new one. Working as a restorer, I have the opportunity to learn more about art and painting from the old masters, by getting in direct contact with their work. This is where I found strength and courage, but inspiration comes from somewhere else. Mostly it's from nature and its changes. Sometimes I capture the moment, and sometimes I get an idea and create from imagination. The feeling that nature gives us with its beautiful sights and powerful vibes is the most important part of my creative process. I understand it as a connection of the material with the spiritual, and a chance to be in balance. So I attempt to capture it and make reminders in the form of paintings.

2011- Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Visual and Performing Arts: Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Italy
2016 - Graduated with Master's degree in Restoration of paintings at the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for Art and Conservation in Belgrade, Serbia.
