Richard Altman

I have a diverse professional background including architecture, photography, fused glass, technology, education and design, all of which influence my designs. Yet it’s pure creative expression which fuels the fabrication of the art. Much of the work evolves from the abstract expressionism found in my drawings and photographs which inspires the sculptural fine art.

My artwork is graphic in nature.  

My designs are intended to enrich contemporary environments using a mix of materials, crafted with texture, dimensionality, and color, to present a bold but minimalist impression. 

My art has been installed in a variety of settings, including hospitals, cruise ships, corporations, and residential homes. The distinctive graphic nature of the work can provide an environmental punctuation when multiple pieces are curated and installed in groupings. 

I enjoy working in collaboration with architects, interior designers, art consultants and motivated individuals searching for something distinctive to enrich their spaces and places.
