Andres Alarcon

Colombian painter Andrés Alarcón is part of culturalcurrent tha puts painting in its sights again as ahorizon of aesthetic commitment and as a responseto new creative demands in art.Emerging figure of the new Colombian figuration,Anrés alarcon recovers the cultural heritage ofEuropean artistic traditions to represent the worldfrom the intimacy of the everyday spaces of popularlife in Latin America. His work, of evident aestheticcommitment, poetic strength and remarkablevirtuosity, presents of volime, a taste for detail and aparticular ability to produce visual synthesis.

Andrés Alarcón has taken different seminars,workshops and painting courses in Colombia withmasters Nicolás Uribe, Alfredo Araújo, WilsonGuevara, Darío Ortiz and watercolour with Song Xinru. He attended the IV Realism and Figuration coursein Spain with the master Antonio lopez and AndrésIbañez.
