Port Gaverne Tractor is used to tow the boats into and from the sea at all tides. It is parked overlooking Port Gaverne bay. I set up the canvas in the undergrowth behind the tractor, with a view of the Fish Cellars and my cottage and studio beyond. That’s my chimney on the left. Early summer. ‘Padstows Pride’ flowers in full bloom. The tractor has a very distinct personality. The ‘Guardian Angel’ of Port Gaverne.
