Anne Fiedler

My own focus of work is always exploring the template and the painting. A template always gives me my first idea, my reference point. This can be a photo, a holiday memory - this one moment of personal memory - or an image from a magazine in which the color relationships appeal to me. But how do I transfer this idea or the feelings that I associate in a painting?
The artistic work is my reflection on the issues that surround me. Sometimes things only reveal themselves to me through processing them while painting. Art is my tool to think about things, to get to the bottom of them, to grasp them from all sides and then to carry them out, i.e. to communicate.
The stories behind things are important to me. I see myself as a storyteller or a teller of emotions with paint and brushstrokes. My paintings are finished when I rediscover my feelings and thoughts that I had during the painting process.
