Antonina "Little Thunder" Whaples is an inter-tribal Shaman, and multi-media artist.
Classically trained in portraiture and photorealistic rendering, Antonina uses these skills to create optical games for the viewer within a process-driven fabrication experience.
Currently focused on exploring upcycled and found objects, Antonina's pieces reflect her philosophical meditation and psychological reconciliation with American culture, consumerism, and personal spirituality as the granddaughter of a Siberian Holocaust Survivor.
Antonina currently works and lives in her hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
