Arman Petrosyan

A world full of kind and weird people, with beauty and ugliness in everything, with noise which can be heard only by me… this is what I see and feel and try to express in my paintings. I have always been different from others and that is not because I am strange but more exactly I perceive the world in other way and in my pictures you can see this point of view. For me, painting is a medium through which I can convey my emotions, my experience. It gives me freedom to speak out everything which I have inside of me. The most interesting about my works is the fact that everyone has his own interpretation of my paintings. People who see my works may explain the painting totally in other way not intending the context which was initially put in the work by me.
My paintings are created automatically because I do not sit down having the goal to paint something specific. The images are being created spontaneously and one image generates the other one and in this way the painting becomes more and more complete and as a result I have the finished work. Sometimes I need a few weeks to finish one started work because I should be in the right spirit to complete it.
