Metamorphosis/Athens

Abstract forms and patterns latent in urban elements of the Athens' "invisible" layer such as pavement tiles, manhole covers, benches, etc. are documented in situ, taken out of their initial context and given a new - poetic - function as building blocks of a self-contained visual structure. Each Improvisation is executed in powdered pigment on paper with the repetitive application of a single form that serves as the unit/building block for the composition.
