Mountains

As a child I travelled with my family to my Grandparents cottage in the West Highlands of Scotland twice a year. On each trip I passed Bauchaille Etive Mor. On each passing my Dad would test me on the mountains name and I nearly always got it wrong! Bauchaille Etive Mor stands at the gateway of Glencoe - rising out of the Etive Mor plateau and is a near perfect pyramidal peak from the North-Eastern perspective. It’s an awesome mountain (in the true sense of the word) and one that has claimed many lives on its cliffs as a technical and challenging climb. I was always fascinated at how my live ticks along and is ever-changing whereas the mountain remains: only the weather and seasons vary with each passing.
