color and the fabric of spacetime

Einstein's theory of relativity, the artwork of Stanley Whitney, and Rothko inspire this series. I love Einstein's notion that spacetime is a fabric held together by the glue of gravity. Color and shape help us to interact and create meaning with the fabric of reality. In this series, I create swaths of color and stitch them, using stencils and spray paint.
