Fluid Space

Water is a common feature or inspiration in these works. Water is a transitional, liminal space where things emerge from; an idea space. The paintings that hold reflective pools present a window or frame through the reflection. The paintings speak to the complexity of our observed world, and the nature of indirect experience, as the image of sky and trees are being conveyed through a mediated layer.
