Primitives - Horses

This 'Primitives' series explores the relationship between past and present through symbolic imagery. Primeval horses emerge through translucent veils, representing the passage of time gradually obscuring memory. Yet their essential form remains visible, testifying to the enduring power of our ancient impulses. As an artist, I seek to tunnel through modern preoccupations, unearthing our primal spark through color, texture and gesture that evoke transcendent emotional states. Referencing cave paintings and ancient forms with a contemporary visual lexicon, I aim to facilitate a visceral connection to our shared human roots across eras. My goal is crafting immersive works that speak to our core humanity.
