About The Artwork
I used ripped street and events posters from different cities, acrylic and spray paint, neon acrylic, stencils and gold flakes to create unique art works that bring the feeling of urban spots right back in your home. The different layers of old paper and posters make history visible. It‘s finished with a high gloss varnish that protects the surface from UV-light and scratches, it‘s sealed and all parts of the art piece „melted“ together. I want street art lovers to have a piece of our colorful cities in their homes and feel the vibe of urban hotspots. In combination with heroes from the past century our present is getting a face in a new way. I am inspired by normal people in the streets, graffiti art teenager and artists, 60s decollage artists like Jacques Villeglé or Mimmo Rotella. But most of the time the everyday life and daydreams are inspiration enough.

Inspired by street and graffiti art I collect ripped paper and billboard posters from different city hotspots like Amsterdam and Berlin to bring you the urban feeling and a piece of our Zeitgeist right onto your walls. Added with acrylic and spray paint on canvases I create bright and neon colored art works with raw structures and messages from the past (event dates, ad banners,…). Giving these pieces a „face“ I apply celebrities and heroes from 20th and 21th century. They are integrated into these mixed media surfaces, becoming alive between dripping paint, acrylic vibrant colors and tell their very own story you are invited to get inspired from.
