I explore different emotions tied to love, from pain to passion, by using the most powerful symbol of love; roses, in my compositions. We don't give love enough room in our society today, or at least not the deep, true emotions involved with it. I want viewers to start reflecting on how important love is to us humans and what it means to love. This piece has light pink preserved roses in a frame covered with white terry cloth and lots of fluffy animals, UV-glass. The fluffy animals are attached with velcro and so can be moved around, and will be removed during shipping. The measurement of the piece indicates frame only, without animals sticking out. For this, add another 5-10cm on upper and lower part of the piece.

Swedish origin, grew up in Brazil, have lived in US, Hawaii and Australia and now reside in the Basque country in France since 20 years, just outside Biarritz. I started working as an artist about 15 years ago after a quite long career as a communications specialist (manager and thereafter Director) at large Swedish corporations. Longing to express real emotions and letting my creativity bloom, I decided to abandon my career and Sweden, and moved to France with my husband and dogs to a small village outside Biarritz. After three years of trying to find a viable technique for using real roses as my medium, I finally found my voice and expression and started to show my work here in France and in Sweden in 2004. Since then, I have exhibited regularly in galleries, art fairs and museums in Paris and in the Basque country as well as in Sweden. My works have found homes all over the world; US, Singapore, Switzerland, UK, Sweden and France.
