Bowie May Need A Lyft Tonight - Magazine Collage Mix Media Collage

It is a truly special piece, I built the glasses on to it out of glazed materials and carved plexiglass infused with abstract paint, and sculpted the mustache on to the work as well. The hat is a think piece, covered in metallic materials, so it comes off the canvas a quarter of an inch. I collaged a bunch of crazy images, and cut out the shape of words, to give it a fun message. It is not one of my larger works, but it is packed with detail. I wanted to experiment, so I went crazy on the frame I built it into as well, it overlaps over stainless steel tiles, and is covered in abstract paint. I take current themes in pop culture, and try to infuse them into the work. You will see something new every time you look at it, because there is a new story in every detail.
