Copy of Dragonfly Collage

I like to represent everyday objects, as well as animals or people, as "Silhouettes" without context. Standing with their own presence, and each projecting it's very unique and specific shadow. I have set up a technique of my own : drawing the silhouette and then building it with layers of torn paper, glue and varnish. I add cardboard, metallic wire and wood on the back to create their bespoke frame. I also build by myself their hand-painted white box, made to their measures, and I hang them in it with love ! This "Dragonfly" belongs to a short "série" of insects. I was inspired by the very thin shadows of their multiple paws and antennas.
