About The Artwork
Found the painted torn paper in the trash of theater's woodshop, made and glued onto the wood cradle, added the found-object elements (dichroic glass rod, ceramic texture, head of rusted carriage bolt, wad of verdigris copper wire, blued brass bow tip, more torn paper) and gold leaf. The title refers to the surrealistic absurd: thoughts of footprints on the ceiling (young Abraham Lincoln prank holding up barefoot boys upside down with muddy feet).
