Art Description

Collage: Fabric, Paint, Acrylic, Household, Gesso on Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric), Wood, Stainless Steel.

“9 White Koans” (and this piece “Dada”) is a series of brief "visual koans” (visual haikus, short poems-stories) grouped together through a common narrative. Using natural, fabricated and found objects, my intention is to create an individual piece each time, different from all others, but still underlined by the theme of the whole.
Every one of these nine components tells a different story related to my life.
It is an exploration not only of the relationship of different materials between each other (natural, fabricated or found objects) but also between form, shape and texture and how all these elements, by nature different, coexist in an homogeneous whole.
