My father was a Psychiatrist at Creedmoor Psychiatric Hospital. One of his patients was Woody Guthrie. Another patient, Louis Alan Reed had Electro-Convulsive-Therapy there when he was 15. We lived on the grounds of the huge building with other family`s of doctors and nurses.In Queens, New York, until 1971. Then we emigrated to Brighton,England. Music has always been a major influence on my work. When I eventually learned of Dad`s famous patient;Woody, who sadly died at Creedmoor in 1967 and that Lou Reed had had Shock-Treatment there in 1959, I was "gobsmacked." That is why I do so-called Pop Art(although some people call it "Outsider art.")
