Biography: Pearl Adebisi is an accomplished artist renowned for her mastery in the intricate art of embroidery. Born 17th December, 1994 in Akure, Ondo State, Pearl's journey into the world of creativity began at a young age and later went to study further at Obafemi Awolowo Univerity, ile-Ife, Osun State where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine and Applied arts in 2018. Inspired by her mother and women around her, she embarked on a creative path that eventually lead to the captivating realm of embroidery. Throughout her artistic evolution, Pearl has honed her skills to transform threads and fabrics into intricate tapestries of emotion and beauty. Guided by a passion for her gender, she breathe life into each piece with meticulous attention to detail, vibrant color palettes, and a profound understanding of texture. Artist Statement: In my embroidered creations, I explore the interplay between tradition and innovation, weaving threads of emotion, memory, and imagination into tactile tapestries. My artistic journey is a constant exploration of the threads that connect us to our past, present, and future. Guided by a reverence for the rich history of embroidery, I embrace time-honored techniques that have been passed down through generations.
