About The Artwork
Mixed Media on Wood Panel. Only one Made! Signed on bottom left front. Dated on back. Geena is the most free spirit, talented, crazy girl I know. She reminds me of myself when I was young and she is featured in more artworks of mine. I took a photo of her with a vintage seventies motorcycle helmet on which I got from a motorcycle builder here on Melrose Blvd. Hollywood. I made a halftone Xerox of the photo and pasted it on a wood panel covered with hot rods & motorcycles magazine scraps and Acrylic splatters. To finish, I painted with Acrylic and water the Red & Blue of the helmet with a single long drop of color going down her face. I like contrasts in my art, probably because I am so full of contrasts myself. The hardness of the wood, the lightness of the paper, the colors of the Acrylic with the dullness of the Xerox make the piece full of contrasts. I love the fact that when you look up close the artwork looks much less "constructed" than when looked on from a far.

I was born in 1975 (the last good year to be born on) in a far away country which didn't fit me. I had to roam until I found my home. It was an amazing journey on which I learned and saw many different cultures, people and art. I lived in Europe, the Middle East & The US and I speak and understand quite a few languages. After more than 15 years in the marketing & advertising industry ( including companies such as Levi's & MTV ) I decided to stick with art & design. I took part in a few group exhibits in New York and Los Angeles and sold my art in galleries, online and by commission. I do corporate graphic & web design, digital art, photography and mixed media. I make a living doing what I love to do. I ride my Harley daily and I am very much into classic cars.
