About The Artwork
I am easily fascinated by the cultures that look to the substance, rather than the form and what is in the heart rather than what is displayed externally. This is why I wanted to create this eye, of which we only imagine a pupil, without eyelids. An eye that observes from the inside, what happens outside of its outer shell that is square, not surprisingly, as society asks us to be: all similar (if not equal) in order to be able to make ourselves better in its pre-established categories . I hope that the sight of this work leads to a reflection on how much society shapes us and on what is the case of returning to a more spherical (but also hexagonal, rhomboidal, trapezoidal ...), more faithful to ourselves and to the form of our inner self.
