ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This original collage of an aerial view of a high-traffic intersection is made entirely from used and expired New York City subway tickets. The large black areas are composed from the magnetic strips of subway tickets while the small yellow cabs are cut out from the yellow areas of the MetroCard design. Nina Boesch collects all subway tickets herself and receives ticket donations from friends, family, and local NYC non-profit organizations. She is not affiliated with the Metropolitan Transit Authority... just a self-made Brooklyn-based recycle artist. The collage is composed on flat (unstretched) canvas and sold in a white frame with a white mat. Frame size: 14.75"x11.75" Artwork size: 8"x10"
