Mixed Media Collage (Acrylic paint, Spray paint, Archival prints on canvas, Ink) on Plywood This artwork is a Variable Multiple and is No.4 in a series of 10. Each multiple varies slightly as the background is hand painted with acrylic paint and the letters "LOV" are spray painted on top. The collage elements are printed with archival inks onto canvas, then cut with a scalpel and assembled to form the robot. The artwork portrays a life-size robot caught in the act of spraying graffiti that converts Einstein's equation E=mc2 into "LOVE=mc2". His graffiti suggests that the energy that matter consists of, might be universal Love. Hence the title of the original work was "The Altruistic Potential of the Artificial mind." This work incorporates many different tech quotes, from the humorous to the profound. My favourite quote in this work is the anonymous quip, "I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.”

Eleanor Turvey launched her career with a series of arresting and powerful collage portraits. What sets her work apart is a unique technique and a continuously evolving practice. "My love of portraiture began as a personal search for truth and guidance. I have studied and portrayed many great leaders and thinkers along my journey and I realised that, in addition to capturing their likeness, I wanted to weave their thoughts and words into the portrait, thereby opening a window into the mind of the person being portrayed. I discovered that collage is the perfect medium for achieving this." Eleanor Turvey lives and works in Cape Town and became a full-time artist in 2012. Her work is in private and corporate collections in the UK, Hong Kong and throughout Africa.
