Containing text from Blake's "How sweet I roamed", Sartre's "Nausea" and "The Upanishads". This piece reflects on the Hindu idea of Maya, the veil of delusion that hides the true nature of reality. Those beautiful moments when we see past the heavy veil and find freedom in the truth that we are not as important as we sometimes like to think we are but simply a swirl of energy in a never ending cosmos of existance.

Clare is an artist and yoga teacher. She began her artistic career painting portraits and was exhibited in the BP portrait awards show at The National Portrait Gallery in London. She went on to gain an international reputation as one of the leading modern fore-edge painters. Her recent artwork is influenced by her esoteric and yoga interests. 'In my artwork I use classical mythology, literature and films aswell as my own life experiences to analyse what it means to be a woman. I use the female form to show how subtle changes of shape in the outer expression can tell of shifts in the depths of the psyche. By combining charcoal drawings or paintings in oil with collaged text from film scripts, classical literature or my own writing I create a rich layering of script and image to express life's experiences and emotions.'
