"Moon river, wider than a mile I'm crossing you in style some day..." -- Johnny Mercer / Henry Mancini Inspired by the beautiful canyons in Oregon, this piece was created with many layers of watercolor, graphite and collage. The rocky terrain of the canyon inspires a stained glass aura of translucent and colorful shapes and linier images. All works from the 'Dissecting Gravity' series are created on paper mounted wood panels artfully painted & splashed with pure watercolors. The rich texture of the trees are created with collaged bits of litter I clean up off scenic highways and junk mail, as a gentle reminder that if we do not stop trashing the planet, trees will not grow from our garbage in the future. The overall result is an aesthetically alluring composition with a hidden message about protecting our forests. This piece was created on wood panels and finished with two coats of archival satin varnish, creating a contemporary but natural look. The edges are varnished natural wood sometimes showing paint drips from the process. No framing required. To learn more about the Artist visit:

Linda Klein, a nature-loving artist hailing from the Bay Area, California, embarks on a soulful journey that harmonizes realism and abstract expression. Unveiling her artistic flair in preschool, Linda's earliest creative adventures prompted her parents to enroll her in local art classes—a bid to save their home from toddler graffiti and nurture her burgeoning talent. Nestled in the wild beauty of West Marin since 2009, Linda draws inspiration from her surroundings. Her artistic evolution mirrors the diverse landscapes she calls home—ranging from detailed graphite drawings to vibrant, ecologically themed pieces infused with recycled collage elements. Linda's unique process involves mounting watercolor paper onto handcrafted wood panels which are often created by her equally talented woodworking husband. This technique imposes a modern eco-conscious approach that bypasses traditional framing. Linda's art is a personal reflection, resonating with the rhythms of nature. With an unwavering commitment to continuing her creative education and a dance between documentation and new realities, Linda Klein's journey is a deeply personal ode to the beauty of our planet.
