Mount Rundle Collage

This is a quilt made from recycled pieces of my painted silk. Cut outs from the painted silk fashion. There is many layers of very colorful silk, sewn, quilted and cut. Extreme texture, color and layers. Very tactile piece. On the top is painted Mt Rundle - view from our window. Looking at the piece from the bottom, you can imagine the long hike to the top of the mountain. Cleaning - just shake the dust occasionally or was on gentle and put in the dryer on low temperature. It will fluff up all the layers of silk and threads. It hangs on see through acrylic rod.
