Nature's sisters Collage

I'm inspired by my own connection to nature and it's sensuality and the loss of personal contact caused by both the pandemic and technology. I hope the viewer can feel the longing and our true need for physical contact and contact with nature and doing so with out devices. I chose collage, using vintage magazines that sowed the seeds of materialism with innocent imagery and to contrast that with figurative nudes I'd shot in some very special places in nature. The desire to affirm our own sensuality and innocence is still with us in this Anthropocene era. I chose to work with black and white copies of my photography as well as silver prints for the nude images. With the contrast of the different papers, I hope to add more depth to the seascapes and that great feeling of mystery when you stand by a strong sea.
