About The Artwork
This is a work from a series under the theme - "Over the leaves dust and words" This one consists of several layers of paper and a leaf with oil and spray paint. it includes fragments of antique calligraphy, found on a basement in an antique building in the netherlands. Probably the paper fragments are around 400 hundred years old, they were pasted on pieces of wood covering a wall on a building around 600 years old. This work talks about how signs become abstract and how abstract can be organised, how nature creates patterns in everything and our brain starts relating to those patterns. Frequencies, consciousness, order, memory, chaos and degradation. It explores the relation between order and chaos. It is about the inherent transformation and reinterpretation of everything. It is framed with an antique original wood frame covered with gold leaf. Which is included in the price.

It is meant to be read in different layers: anthropological, sociological and cosmological. Due to this different layers of meanings it has multiple stems of interpretation, for example, it can at the same time it can be questioning the meaning of the individual, profoundly religious and at the same time critical to religious institutions and social behaviours. Works in a a wide variety of medius, as painting, sculpture, installation, video art, action art and film.
