Art Description

Collage: Paper, Photo, Paint and Airbrush on Cardboard, Paper and Other.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of RMS Leinster by a German U-Boat on October 10, 1918, I was commissioned to paint a series of artworks depicting the tragic sinking of RMS Leinster Mailboat. This is one of thirteen collage and paint mixed media works which resulted from my exploration of this tragic story. One became the Irish International postage stamp released for the centenary of the disaster.
