About The Artwork

Material technique, acrylic color on canvas with US $ 1 bills application. American dollars have become - in the Western world - the symbols of dreams, of union, of personal and individual freedom, of hopes, of research and of "REVOLUTION". The intrinsic meaning of the word REVOLUTION is: LOVE! to be able to see it you need to believe it or simply turn off the light; magically the word LOVE will appear! These works hide a secret, a bill is marked on the site in order to see the work travel through galleries and museums around the world.

Roberta Bissoli was born in Monza (ITALY) in 1967. With a passionate love of contemporary abstract art, for some years now she has been proposing interesting materically tactile works, that clearly reveal her studies and what she is looking for, where pictorial technique and style blend into the essentialities of colors that appear as bearers of meaning, hence not chance but studied and devised. Painting and color are at the service of matter; a matter that models, colors and gives depth to the work, giving the canvas its 3D impression and involving sight, touch and the sense of smell but, above all exciting the observer. For the artist the purpose of art is to give matter to the immaterial, to give body to what is without body. Thanks to the great appreciation of her work, the artist’s career has become evermore prestigious, borne witness to by her taking part in numerous events. We cite International Contemporary Art, on occasion of Expo 2015 in Milan, where her work “Money… Money” entered the private collection of Banca Mediolanum. Her works with the iconic one dollar bill - “Ephemeral World”, “Golden Age”,“Accademy Award” and “Money Passion” - are in demand and exhibited in Milan, Padua, Florence, Rome, Salerno, Berlin and Paris.
